Sony Ericsson have launched the next handset in the Walkman family, the W880 music phone. This new model is actually the thinnest they’ve built at a mere 9.4mm. On board you have a 1.8″ screen and the traditional 2 mega pixel camera we’ve come to expect from mobile phones these days. If you’re in Europe you’ll be glad to hear that the European version of the W880 will be 3G enabled for video calling and fast internet access.
Sony Ericsson have also been generous in the memory department, and will be providing a 1GB Memory Stick in the box – something of an extra that you’d normally have to pay a premium for. Sony’s ‘Disc-2-Phone’ music management software will be in the box in the hope of grabbing some of the iPod business off Apple for those who need their music on the move, and no doubt many will be tempted by the design, size and brushed aluminium finish of this elegant little handset.
