Need to recreate the MAPI profile on BES? Heres How:

Environment
BlackBerry Enterprise Server 2.1 to 5.0 for Microsoft Exchange

Warning: The following procedure requires modifying the computer registry. This can cause substantial damage to the Windows operating system. Document and back up the existing registry entries prior to implementing any changes.

To re-create the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Messaging Application Programming Interface (MAPI) profile, complete the following steps:

  1. Log in to the BlackBerry Enterprise Server using the service account.
  2. Stop the BlackBerry Enterprise Server services, and close the BlackBerry Manager if running.
  3. Open the Registry Editor and go to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Windows Messaging Subsystem\Profiles\.
  4. Right-click on the Profiles folder and select Export. Give this backup file a name and save it. Once the BlackBerry Enterprise Server is back up and running properly, this file can be deleted.
  5. Right-click on the Profiles folder and select Delete. Click Yes when prompted to confirm deletion of this key and its subkeys.
  6. Close the Registry Editor.
  7. Create a new MAPI profile using the steps outlined below for the appropriate software version of the BlackBerry Enterprise Server.
  8. Start the BlackBerry Enterprise Server services.

Important: Restarting certain BlackBerry Enterprise Server services will delay email message delivery to BlackBerry smartphones, see article KB04789 for more information.
