If you have just purchased your new client access license (CAL) and don’t know where to add it in the BlackBerry Manager or BlackBerry Administration Service, here’s how:
To add a new CAL authentication key, complete one of the following sets of steps, depending on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server version:
For BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 4.1:
- Open BlackBerry Manager.
- Click BlackBerry Domain.
- On the Global tab, expand the Account section and then click License Management.
- Specify the new CAL authentication key and then click Add License.
For BlackBerry Professional Software:
- Open BlackBerry Manager.
- Click the Home tab.
- Under the Account task, select License Management.
- Specify the new CAL authentication key and then click Add License.
For BlackBerry Enterprise Server version 5.0 and 5.0 SP1:
- Open the BlackBerry Administration Service.
- On the Servers and components menu, expand BlackBerry Solution topology > BlackBerry Domain > Component View.
- Click BlackBerry Administration Service.
- Click Edit Component.
- In the License Key section, type the CAL key information and then click the Add icon.
- Once the CAL has been added or changed, click save all at the bottom of the screen.
