After restoring previously backed-up data to your BlackBerry 9700 smartphone, new Short Message Service (SMS) messages that are received appear as coming from the mobile number instead of the actual name of the contact.

Resolution:

Upgrade the BlackBerry Device Software to version 5.0.0.388 or later. For information on how to perform an upgrade of the BlackBerry Device Software, see KB03901

Note: BlackBerry Device Software is specific to the wireless service provider your BlackBerry smartphone was sold from.  The availability of the BlackBerry Device Software is dependent on the release of BlackBerry Device Software by Research In Motion and the acceptance of that build by the wireless service provider.

RIM have released a new KB for those that dont know how to retrieve forgotten passwords:

Your BlackBerry Internet Service user name is created when you first set up your BlackBerry Internet Service account. If you forget your user name, contact your wireless service provider. continue

RIM have released an updated KB for this common problem for BES Admins, where users cannot send emails from their BlackBerry smartphones.

RIM have released a new KB which covers the reasons why messages fail to arrive on a BES BlackBerry:

The BlackBerry smartphone user is unable to receive email messages from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, but is able to send email messages from the BlackBerry smartphone. Personal identification number (PIN) messaging works correctly, but the pending messages count on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server is not increased.

This explains why you cant view youtube videos on a BlackBerry. It only works with the WAP browser, not the Internet or BlackBerry Browser. Check with your provider that WAP is included in your Data Bundle.
