If a BlackBerry smartphone user is being removed from a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, the BlackBerry smartphone user, or the system administrator may wish to remove the IT policy that was associated with the BlackBerry smartphone.
Remove the IT policy using the Loader.exe application bundled with BlackBerry Desktop Manager version 4.7 to 5.0.
Important: This method can only be used on a BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry Device Software version 4.3 to 5.0. This is an alternate method for removing an IT Policy from a BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry Device Software version 4.3 to 5.0 and should be used only if the BlackBerry smartphone user cannot contact the system administrator. continue

- BlackBerry® Enterprise Server versions 2.0 to 5.0 SP1
- BlackBerry® Professional Software version 4.1 SP4

New KB released by RIM in conjunction with their BES Express v5.0.1 launch:
BlackBerry smartphones that have a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server and/or BlackBerry® Internet Service data plan from their wireless service provider can be activated on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express version 5.0 SP1.
Before attempting an activation, use the BlackBerry Expert Support Center (BESC) Enterprise Activation tool to identify which activation methods are available for the BlackBerry smartphone you want to activate. For more information on how to access and use the BlackBerry Expert Support Center Enterprise Activation Readiness tool, please see KB21140.
Note: BlackBerry smartphones cannot be activated over the wireless network or the organization’s Wi-Fi® network if they have a data plan for BlackBerry Internet Service only.

RIM have released a new KB which covers the reasons why messages fail to arrive on a BES BlackBerry:
The BlackBerry smartphone user is unable to receive email messages from the BlackBerry Enterprise Server, but is able to send email messages from the BlackBerry smartphone. Personal identification number (PIN) messaging works correctly, but the pending messages count on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server is not increased.

O2 UK Trials LTE (4G) With Huawei

Huawei, a leader in providing next-generation telecommunications network solutions for operators around the world, has announced a successful live trial of LTE (Long Term Evolution) with Telefónica O2 UK, the first fully operational operator LTE trial in the UK. During the trial, a peak downlink rate of 150Mbps was achieved in the Slough area, the headquarters of O2 in the UK.
