If a BlackBerry smartphone user is being removed from a BlackBerry Enterprise Server, the BlackBerry smartphone user, or the system administrator may wish to remove the IT policy that was associated with the BlackBerry smartphone.

Remove the IT policy using the Loader.exe application bundled with BlackBerry Desktop Manager version 4.7 to 5.0.

Important: This method can only be used on a BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry Device Software version 4.3 to 5.0. This is an alternate method for removing an IT Policy from a BlackBerry smartphone running BlackBerry Device Software version 4.3 to 5.0 and should be used only if the BlackBerry smartphone user cannot contact the system administrator. continue

BlackBerry smartphones that have a BlackBerry® Enterprise Server and/or BlackBerry® Internet Service data plan from their wireless service provider can be activated on the BlackBerry Enterprise Server Express version 5.0 SP1.

Before attempting an activation, use the BlackBerry Expert Support Center (BESC) Enterprise Activation tool to identify which activation methods are available for the BlackBerry smartphone you want to activate. Note: BlackBerry smartphones cannot be activated over the wireless network or the organization’s Wi-Fi® network if they have a data plan for BlackBerry Internet Service only.
