Faraz worked for Frost until Frost’s untimely death in 2005. Frost’s death hit Faraz hard, and followed claims from both Motorola employees and Frost’s wife (who shortly after committed suicide) that Ed Zander (head of Motorola) overworked Frost to his death and took the majority of the credit for himself.
Faraz had become frustrated at the company’s direction since Frost’s death which compelled him to write the letter outlining the company’s issues and mismanagement as he believed it to be. While the contents of the letter are unlikely to force any comment from Motorola, it does make interesting reading and (aside from the seedy and unconfirmed boardroom calamities), produces some interesting points of view on what has caused the demise of Motorola’s business over the last twelve months.
