The 'Must Do' Event on the International Sailing Calendar

The 2007 Regatta marks 181 years of the Event itself, as the first race with just seven yachts took place on the 10th August 1826. The 2007 event also marks the 13th Anniversary of Skandia's title sponsorship of the most famous sailing regatta in the World, Cowes Week. Now with over 1000 yachts and 8000 competitors taking part in some very challenging sailing, the Event attracts a wide range of local, national and international participants, from true amateurs to Olympic and World Champions.

Skandia Cowes Week is growing in international status as a 'must do' event as organisers actively encourage greater participation from other countries.
